First Impression Checklist (60 Seconds)
If you only do a few things before work, a date, or meeting new people — do these. This is the “quiet confidence” stack.
1) Face & Grooming
- Clean shave or tidy trim
- Eyebrows & neckline checked
- Lips not cracked (simple balm)
- Teeth + breath (quick mint)
2) Clothes & Fit
- One “clean” top (no stains, no wrinkles)
- Fit matters more than brand
- Shoes clean = instant upgrade
- Belt/waistline tidy
3) Scent & Space
- 1–2 sprays max (you’re not a candle)
- Clean laundry smell beats heavy cologne
- Deodorant always
- Hands clean, nails trimmed
4) Body Language
- Shoulders down, chest open
- Slow your movements slightly
- Stand still when you speak
- Eye contact: 2–3 seconds
5) Voice
- Start 10% slower than feels “normal”
- Lower volume slightly (forces focus)
- End sentences clean (no trailing off)
- Pause before answering
6) Conversation Starter
- Use one simple opener: “How’s your week going?”
- Then one follow-up question
- Don’t rush to impress
- Leave a little mystery
Rule: You don’t need to look expensive. You need to look intentional.
